As sport divers, we typically don't plan for decompression during our dives, which often results in cutting our dives short. However, for those looking to extend their dive time and explore deeper dive sites, planned decompression diving is a vital skill. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course is designed to prepare divers for staged decompression dives, allowing for longer and deeper dives by using specific techniques to manage decompression during your ascent.

This course has a maximum operating depth of 45 meters/150 feet, marking your first step beyond the traditional sport diving limits. It’s a game-changer for those who want to explore the incredible depths of the Gili Islands or other deep dive locations in Indonesia. Once you complete the TDI Decompression Procedures Course, you will have the foundational skills to dive more safely and efficiently in more challenging conditions. When paired with the TDI Advanced Nitrox Course, this training forms the cornerstone of your technical diving journey.

Together, the TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures Courses give you the skills to use enriched air nitrox and manage staged decompression diving, which are essential for exploring advanced dive sites, such as the deep dive sites in Gili Trawangan or even venturing into deeper into Indonesia. These two courses provide the knowledge necessary to safely increase your dive time and depth, allowing you to push beyond the boundaries of recreational diving. Once you’ve gained some additional experience, you’ll be ready to progress to more advanced technical courses, such as TDI Extended Range or even TDI SF2 Rebreather courses.
