TDI Sidemount is a technically focused course teaching the use of two primary side mounted cylinders. For the recreational diver this means redundant gas for increased safety, longer dives with increased gas quantity and greater streamlining. For technical divers side mount allows for diving in areas with limited access to twins and is ideal for divers interested in expanding their diving to overhead environments such as caves or wrecks.

Our tech room is well stocked so we can cater to technical divers who chose not to carry all their equipment with them when travelling. We use the following brands and configurations for courses and guided dives:
• Sidemount: Harness and Wing- Xdeep Stealth 2.0. Regs: Apeks DST 1st Stage. XTX 50 2nd stage. @150,000 IDR per dive.
• Twinset: Apeks Dual bladder wing. Apeks backplate (steel or aluminium). Apeks TEK3 regulators @ 250,000 IDR per dive.
• Rebreather: JJ-CCR @750,000 IDR per dive.
• Additional stage regulators and rigging: Apeks DST or DS4 with XTX20-50 @50,000 IDR per dive
• Computers: Shearwater Petrel, Liquivision X1 or Xeo @ 140,000 per dive.

Sofnolime 797 grade. 1.0mm to 2.5mm extrudate with a triangular cross-section @ 210,000 IDR per kilo.

For any dive deeper than 40 metres, or any dive where decompression gases are used, a dive plan must be completed and approved by relevant Trawangan Tech staff.

Divers must carry back-up depth and time information

All gas mixes MUST be analysed, correctly labeled for MOD and signed and dated by the user. Fill station log must be signed.

Maximum bottom PO2 will be 1.4 ATA or lower.

Maximum decompression PO2 will be 1.6 ATA or less.

All divers must carry sufficient gas to complete their dives within rule of thirds, or as appropriate for the dive plan.

On Trimix dives, maximum END will be 40m/130ft.

Divers must be equipped with at least one reel and SMB/ lift bag, with two being strongly encouraged. A whistle and flashlight are highly recommended on all dives.

All technical divers must provide proof of insurance upon arrival at Trawangan Dive.

Trawangan Tech staff will reserve final judgment on suitability and choice of the dive site and help you to plan your dives with the latest diving software.
